Homework
2-4 hours per week. Weekly homework will be assigned through Khan Academy. Students are also expected to watch the teacher videos and participate in the classroom chats.
Assessment
Students will be assessed through the homework.

Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 8
Join us for this 4 week self-paced class as we review important concepts to prepare for 8th grade math! Students will have access to teacher videos demonstrating practice problems and explaining the concepts covered. We will utilize the classroom chat as well as have weekly homework through Khan Academy. 

Unit 1: Getting ready for numbers and operations (Review: fractions to decimal conversion, exponents, order of operations, and estimating decimal operations)
Unit 2: Getting ready for solving equations and systems of equations (Review: algebraic equations basics, one-step equations, like terms, and two-step equations)
Unit 3: Getting ready for linear equations and functions (Review: constant of proportionality and proportional relationships with graphs and equations)
Unit 4: Getting ready for geometry (Review: coordinate plane, polygons, and missing angle problems)

Students should have completed 7th grade math to enroll in this prep course as we will move at a fast-pace as we review and enhance understanding. Students will have 3 to 4  short assignments of less than 10 questions a week to check their understanding as we move through the material.
