Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 9
Intermediate Level
Students will learn 8th grade math in this 14 week course. This is a full course and this class is great for those who are ready to go into 8th grade math. The syllabus below contains all of our course topics.

This class will have live meetings. I will also provide guided notes and assign weekly homework on Khan Academy. Students are expected to attend classes weekly (or watch class recordings if they miss a class) and finish their homework.

Being that this is a 14 week course, this course is fast pace and to get the most of the course, practice is essential with the assigned homework before the next meeting. I advise parents to be sure learners are doing their part outside of class. Unit tests may be issued on Khan Academy and a final course review will be issued at the end of the course to test the learners on their retainment of information and if they are ready for the 9th grade level.

This course uses both Khan Academy & outside worksheets. Please message with any questions you may have on this course. Please note, Khan Academy is a free online learning website.

Before taking this class students should have prior exposure to 7th grade math topics including negative numbers, proportions, equations, and inequalities.

Students are welcome to message me at any time with any questions/concerns.
