This lesson will focus on powers of ten and scientific notation.

Solving Equations
This lesson will focus on like terms, the distributive property, and solving equations.

Linear Equations and Functions
This lesson will focus on graphing proportional relationships, finding solutions to linear equations, and introduce slope-intercept form.

This lesson will focus on writing slope-intercept equations, analyzing functions, and comparing linear and nonlinear functions.

I have a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida. I have experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry in a public Middle School. I have 10+ years of experience as a math tutor for ages 11 to 18.

Details: Weekly homework will be assigned through Khan Academy to further student mastery of the concepts. Homework will take approximately 15 - 25 minutes a day.
Assessment
Frequency: included
Details: Learners will be assessed informally in class as well as through homework unit tests on Khan Academy.
Students should have prior exposure to 7th grade math topics including negative numbers, proportions, equations, and inequalities.
Guided notes will be provided for class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
