"Fun With Phonics Let's Learn to Read & Write Long Vowel Words: (CVCE) Silent E"

In this Ongoing phonics-reading class, students will learn how to blend sounds to make, write, and read words from the LONG VOWEL word families. These words all contain the SILENT "E" at the end of each word. ESL students are welcome!

Class Experience

The students will learn to blend and read consonant-long vowel-consonant words-silent e words (CVCE).  The students will learn to write the beginning letter for the consonant-long vowel-consonant-silent e (CVCE) words.
I am a former kindergarten teacher and elementary classroom teacher for 27 years in public education. I have taught as an elementary teacher in kindergarten, first-second grades, fourth grade, and sixth grade. 
I have a BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood. I have my Masters's Degree in Library Science and Information Skills and taught Preschool-5th Grades for the last 18 years in public education after I became the media coordinator of the schools I taught in.
I am currently a licensed and certified teacher with a TESOL certification. 
I have taught many ESL students in person and online. Before finding Outschool, I was teaching English as a Second Language to students in Asia. 
 11 files available upon enrollment
A worksheet for each class will be provided for download upon enrollment. Students can use a pencil, pen, or marker to write their letters. If the activity sheet can not be printed, a plain piece of paper will work.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
