Creative Writing Club
In this ongoing creative writing class, learners will have a short writing assignment for the prompt of the day. Students will have to time to complete their writing of the prompt and may read their writing to the class for class feedback.

US Grade 10 - 12
Each week in this ongoing class will discuss and look at a specific format of writing. We will have a new writing topic each week but not always a different format each week. We will use a variety of formats such as letters, poems, short stories, how to's, short plays, speeches, etc. You are welcome to join me any week that interest you or stay and sharpen your creativity. Below is a list of what will be covered the 1st 4 weeks. This list will be updated continuously so you know what format we will be working with. Writing Format- Short Story Writing Format- A letter Writing Format- How To Writing Format- Diary Entry Learners can expect to see examples and learn about the format of writing we will be using. Then students will have 30-40 minutes to write. If they finish early I encourage them to proof read their writing. Towards the end of class 1-2 students will have the opportunity to read their work and have the class provide feedback to them. Students are not required to read their writing but should be turned in online when finished for feedback from me.
Learning Goals
Students will strengthen their creativity through writing about various topics in various formats. Students will learn how to write in the format of the day and will gain feedback on their writing including; grammar, punctuation, creativity, flow, etc.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Students will be working on their writing assignment during class, but if they do not finish they will need to complete outside of class and submit to me. I will be using a google slide to show the topic and format of the creative writing prompt.
Supply List
Students will need either access to google documents, word, or some other form of space for them to write and submit their work. If students prefer to handwrite their pieces and can take a picture of their work to submit that will be acceptable.
