Class experience
In a world of excess, it can be hard to focus our happiness on the small things. In this fun and interactive class, students will learn the meaning of contentment and the practice of being content. We will discuss this topic using age-appropriate illustrations and situations. Learners will: 1. Practice using contentment language. Like, "I have enough" or "I am happy with what I have." 2. Identify how different comments do or don't, reflect contentment. 3. Learn how "Content Carl"...
Learners will understand that happiness can come from focusing on what we have instead of what we don't have. They will learn how to express and practice gratitude.
I have a degree in elementary education and have been working with kids through teaching, coaching, and childcare for over 15 years. I have extensive experience and expertise working with ESL learners. Also, I am raising three boys of my own ( ages 1, 5 & 8). I am often inspired to create classes that cover subjects I find important in my own parenting journey. I am a lifelong learner and an avid reader. To support my curriculum development I dedicate significant time to reading, listening, and learning about the most current research on child development, teaching, and parenting.
