I will work individually with your learner to make absolutely delicious and festive shortbread cookies with raspberry filling and a touch of almond.
Class experience
This class will be 1-t0-1 so I can assist learners individually as they bake along with me. We will begin class by discussing ingredients and preheating our ovens. Students will learn to accurately measure and mix. When the cookie dough is thoroughly mixed, we will form the cookie dough into balls. Ingredients: ❖Butter ❖Granulated Sugar ❖Almond Extract ❖Corn Starch ❖Raspberry Jam ❖Powdered Sugar ❖Flour Equipment: ❖Electric Mixer ❖Mixing Bowl ❖Prep Bowl (approximately 2 cup size, or any small bowl) ❖Measuring Cups (1 cup and 2/3 cup) ❖Measuring Spoons (1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon) ❖Teaspoon or cookie scoop ❖2 baking sheets or cookie sheets ❖2 Ziploc sandwich bags ❖Rubber Spatula ❖ 2 Potholders ❖Scissors ❖Cup or Mug ❖Pestle (optional)
These cookies contain almond extract, butter, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, corn starch, and flour. Please be aware of possible allergens. Adult supervision will be needed as an electric mixer and an oven will be used, and the adults physically supervising will assure safety for their learners. Adults will need to stay off-camera as per Outschool policy.
