US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this one-time class, students will learn about United States paper money. First, we will talk about the dollar bills that are currently being used in the United States. Then, We will compare each of their values with the one hundred dollar bill. Next, students will get to go shopping! They will help to choose the correct dollar bills needed to purchase each of the items on the slides. I have two worksheets that we will do as a class. I also have many colorful slides to help the student visualize what we are learning. If time allows, we will also practice adding different amounts of money together to find the total amount. We will be learning about the one, five, ten, twenty, fifty, and one hundred dollar bills. I will also briefly introduce the two-dollar bill. Your child is welcome to bring any of these bills to class, but it is not necessary. I love to have student interaction in my classes. I hope your learner will join me as we learn about the United States Dollars.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Calvary Bible College
Hello! My name is Miss Mary Jane. I have a B.S. degree in elementary education from Calvary Bible College. I also have a 120-hour TESOL certificate. My husband and I live in Nebraska and are the parents of six awesome kids! I have homeschooled each of our children through high school. In addition to homeschooling, I've also taught ESL online, to students in China for the past six years. I love to see children learn, and to have fun while learning! My hope is that each child will feel comfortable in my classes and will feel free to ask questions about things they don't understand. Most of my classes are interactive and student-centered. I am looking forward to seeing your learner in my classroom!
