In this one-time class, students will discover some of the interesting facts about the octopus. We will go through a slide presentation together, which includes a couple of short video clips. Next, we will review the facts that we've learned, by doing a couple of fun worksheets followed by an octopus craft. I love for the students in my classes to participate by asking and answering questions if they feel comfortable doing so. My class is very interactive. There are 4 pages for you to print out before class as well as a few materials that they will need for the octopus craft. I am looking forward to seeing your child in the classroom!

Supply List
We are going to color an octopus and add "jewels" or foam stickers to decorate its arms. Your child will need the following supplies as well as the printed octopus page. These supplies can be purchased at stores such as Walmart, Hobby Lobby, or Dollar General. -Crayons -Glue or glue stick -Sequins, craft foam stickers, or anything else that can be used to decorate the octopus' tentacles. -1 piece of construction paper (optional)
