This is a course exploring topics in United States History. For this course, we will follow the chronological development of the American people and government by examining the political, economic, social, religious, military, scientific, and cultural events that affected the rise and growth of the nation. 

Teacher will guide studies through this primarily using the Houghton Mifflin and Harcourt, American History: Reconstruction to Present textbook, but course can be adapted to any student textbook.  

Teacher will use various formats to make this course fun and interactive including the use of online quizzes with multiple choice format. We will also have Socratic discussion on various topics as we delve deeply into early American history.

The course format will closely follow the Unit guidelines as established by the College Board and may utilize the following additional resources:

The goal of this course to to prepare students to think critically so they are prepared for the multiple choice and essay questions.
