A Bookworm's Reading Comprehension With Time for Kids, K-1

In this class, we will be using the exciting Time for Kids magazine to get learners reading and discussing! Each week, we will read the Time for Kids magazine together in class. The magazine will focus on a theme for each week and is filled with interesting articles to give learners practice reading while learning about new and exciting topics. Learners will not need a subscription to the magazine.

All learners who would like to read aloud will get a turn to read in class. I will never ask a learner who is uncomfortable reading aloud to do so. Readers of all levels, even pre-readers are welcome!

After reading an article, learners will get a chance to discuss the things they learned with their classmates. We will ask questions and share our own experiences with the topic. This will help them to build reading comprehension skills, as well as confidence in sharing their thoughts!
