This class attends live meetings. I will also provide guides and worksheets. Students are expected to attend classes weekly (or watch class recordings if they miss a class) and submit their homework. Homework can be submitted by sending an image/scan/pdf.

Being that this is a 16 week course, this course is fast pace and to get the most of the course practice/homework outside of class through the week before the next meeting is a must. I advise parents to be sure learners are doing their part outside of class. Unit test may be issued on Khan Academy and a final course review will be issued at the end of the course to test the learners on their retainment of information and if they are ready for the next level (high school math).

This course uses both Khan Academy & outside worksheets. Please message with any questions you may have on this course. Please note, Khan Academy is a free online learning website. The class may also use Google classroom to access recorded videos I provide created by me with me teaching the lesson. These are the same videos for my flexible classes. No communication is done on these other tools with learners/myself. Communication is disabled on these platforms. Watching these videos is NOT required they are just additional videos to have for help such as the videos on Khan of videos learners may find on YouTube on their own if they need to.

Interaction is only done through Outschool and live meetings.

Before taking this class students should of course have a understanding of elementary math such a multiplying, fractions, decimals, division, addition, and subtraction.

If students are struggling in an area I do offer one on one tutoring as well at an additional cost.

Students are welcome to message me at any time with any questions/concerns.

PLEASE BE ON TIME! I will leave the meeting after 10 minutes if no one joins.

With over four years of teaching experience on Outschool and two years of teaching English online to children in China, I have a passion for teaching and learning. I hold a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice and have been studying Greek mythology for several years. Additionally, I have been teaching math for several years and have completed the Calculus series in college. I have always been gifted at math and view it as the most magical language of the universe. Currently, I am back in school pursuing certifications in Network & Security as well as Cloud Computing.

My love for learning is evident in my approach to teaching. I believe that hands-on learning is key, as learners retain more knowledge by doing rather than just watching. My teaching style is centered around motivating learners to do their best through honesty, organization, commitment, and hard work.

Fun facts about me: I have a one-year-old husky named Zeus, and we love to road trip and visit national parks together.
