The curriculum covers a comprehensive range of social and emotional skills based on you learners specific needs, including: - Enhancing inner confidence - Fostering confidence in various situations - Managing stress and maintaining composure - Projecting confidence outwardly - Improving social comfort and reducing awkwardness - Initiating and sustaining conversations effectively - Use of eye contact and active listening - Utilizing non-verbal communication cues, such as eye contact - Establishing and respecting personal boundaries - Mastering assertive communication techniques - Expressing emotions articulately - Cultivating self-awareness and emotional intelligence - Navigating social media with proper etiquette - AND MUCH MORE! How is the class structured? Each session is tailored to your child's unique needs, incorporating interactive activities, role-playing exercises, and discussions to facilitate active learning and skill development. What's the Teaching Style? Interactive, engaging, and personalized, ensuring that your learner feels supported and motivated to learn. A variety of instructional methods to cater to different learning styles and preferences of your learner. Content will be delivered in games, activities, role playing, some videos, and through open discussions. All delivered in an open, relatable way. While maintaining empathy and care, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive learning environment for your child's emotional well-being. Additionally, I am committed to maintaining open communication with you as parents, ensuring that you are informed of any significant developments or concerns that may arise during our sessions. With over 20 years of teaching experience, including social-emotional teacher training, I bring extensive expertise to these one-on-one social skills sessions. Throughout my career, I've taught whole group sessions on social emotional learning and done one on work.
I've worked closely with students with ADHD, autism, and various learning disabilities, tailoring instruction to meet their individual needs. In addition, I've worked with students who just need a boost to their confidence or have some specific social skills that need some sharpening.
