I know that reading and writing development can be challenging. Therefore, I've built a class that helps students excel in these domains. Whether you're looking for assistance with homework or enrichment, my private English tutorials will help your student improve their performance, not only in the classroom, but on external metrics, like MAP and statewide testing, as well. During our tutorials, students will determine what level they are reading and writing at, and have the option to take additional 1:1 private English classes.

Reading Assessment: During our first session students will be assessed on their reading level by reading through an instrument that checks what they notice, determines how they read, what questions they ask, and how they answer specific targeted follow up questions.

Writing Assessment: Our first session will also include a writing prompt that is fun, creative and engaging, while also being level appropriate and challenging. In this way, I will be able to gauge their writing ability and provide parents with feedback to aid in how your family decide to best move forward with their student.

After the initial assessment you are welcome to book future lessons to support your child's reading and writing growth.

Having obtained an M.A. in English literature and teaching certificates in ESL, ELA, IB and AP, I have honed my teaching style to be supportive, caring, inclusive, and empowering.

My lessons are flexible, and should you need additional support, I can accommodate your child as our lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs of each child.

Experience the enlightening journey of refining your child's English reading and writing skills in a supportive and empathetic learning environment. Enroll now and embark on a path towards greater writing proficiency and critical literacy.

Hi there, Thank you for stopping by! My love of reading developed at an early age, where I read anything and everything I could get my hands on. These days I enjoy reading texts about self-development, business, beloved picture books and metaphysical texts.

Because I loved to read, I studied English literature and acquired a BA in English and Spanish, and an MA in English Literature. I also have a number of certifications for the instruction of English including, English Language Arts and Reading, English as an Additional Language, as well as an EC - 6, Generalist endorsement. I also hold the Swiss, International Baccalaureate endorsement for English Language Acquisition.

My teaching experience spans a great deal of the world through the medium of online learning, while my practical classroom experience includes teaching in schools in America, Turkey and Thailand.

Students who study under my tutelage usually see significant progress, as I meet students where they are, and build their confidence and abilities in all of the English domains, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. In this way, my students are able to achieve their learning goals in any academic setting.
