Other Details

Parental Guidance
Throughout the course of our reading students may encounter scary situations, neglience of children, occasional foul language, racist or anti-semitic language and other adult situations. Questions and discussions about such subject matter will be handled professionally and objectively. I also recommend speaking with your children about some of the situations that may arise during the reading of Dahl's work.
Pre-Requisites
Students should be able to read at an intermediate level so that they are able to read the text we will explore during the class. I recommend acquiring a hard copy of each book for reading outside of class but it is not required.
Supply List
Students should acquire a notebook, pencil, crayon or color pencils, and bring them to each session. Sometimes we will draw!
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

As a veteran certified English teacher of 12 years, and avid reader, I have not only read these novels but taught them in classes both on and offline. As a child the work of Roald Dahl fascinated and captivated me, and had the ability to transport me to new worlds. I hope to share the same experience with your learner as a member of The Book Club.
