Welcome to my intensive Travel Inspired Cooking Class, where young chefs embark on an exciting journey to explore the world of cooking! *Save my class and follow me so you can easily find this class when you're ready to book! Now back to our regularly scheduled programming... My virtual course offers interactive, hands-on cooking classes designed specifically for kids aged 10 - 14. Led by an experienced cook, each session is packed with engaging and informative lessons, delicious recipes, and plenty of fun activities to ignite your child's passion for cooking. From mastering basic kitchen skills to creating delightful dishes, our chefs will gain confidence in the kitchen while making new friends in a supportive online community. Join us for a summer course filled with culinary creativity, laughter, and tasty adventures! My teaching style is dynamic, fun, patient and interactive. I believe in keeping class sizes small so that each student is able to ask questions and contribute to class activities equally. Students will learn basic knife skills, how to control heat, how to keep safe in the kitchen, and how to be a tidy chef. In addition, they will learn how to create layers of flavor that will satisfy most any palate! Key Features Include: Flavor-FULL Recipes Student Choice Basic Kitchen Skills Engaging Activities Community Building During the months of June, July and August there will be a new section beginning every Monday or Tuesday and the camp will run for four days Monday - Thursday/Friday. These slight variations are to account for holidays like Juneteenth and Independence Day. Prior to the beginning of the course I will message the students to get a gauge of what they are interested in cooking, and then we will work collaboratively to plan a menu. Another option is to have each student contribute a suggestion, with my guidance, for our menu and then we will create it. This planning will take place a week before camp starts so that parents have time to purchase the necessary ingredients. Alternatively, I have prepared a suggested menu in the syllabus section. However, student input is important to me, so the menu is flexible. This class can begin with one student, and grow from there. Each day offers a unique culinary experience, so join us for a thrilling time of cooking in the kitchen!

Other Details
Pre-Requisites
Your student should be comfortable with cooking using heat, and knives. While we will refine these skills, it would be best if they have some experience cooking.
