US Grade 1 - 3
Welcome to second-grade English Language Arts! This course contains a variety of activities in reading, writing, grammar, and spelling to cover all the necessities of a comprehensive ELA course. One meeting in the week will work on reading, comprehension, and/or grammar topics. The second meeting in the week will work on spelling and writing. Earlier in the school year, writing will begin on the simple end. As the year moves on, the writing will expand in skill level. Any homework given will be on an as-needed basis or by request. Homework in this course should not take more than 30 minutes per week. Students are welcome to enroll late as each lesson will be self-contained. They will not have to "catch up" when enrolling late.
