What Will Be Taught?

This 8-week course will explore the intricate relationship between food, nutrition, and folklore. Students will learn about the cultural beliefs and traditions surrounding food, uncover myths and superstitions related to culinary practices, and gain practical knowledge about nutrition and healthy eating habits.

Topics Covered:

*Introduction to Food and Folklore
*Myths and Legends About Food
*Cultural Significance of Food
*Nutrition Basics and Its Impact
*Superstitions and Rituals Involving Food
*Food in Storytelling
*Traditional Diets and Healthy Eating Habits

Class Structure:

*Interactive Lectures: Engaging presentations using Canva to introduce new concepts and topics.
*In-Class Discussions: Opportunities for students to discuss and explore ideas related to each week's theme.
*Quizzes: Assessments to gauge understanding and reinforce learning objectives.
*Projects: Hands-on activities such as planning a balanced meal based on traditional diets.

Teaching Method:
