As this is a FLEX course students will work on their stretches throughout the week on their own time. Each week's video stretching class will last about 30 minutes. Challenges, quizzes, and scavenger hunts will take up to an additional 30 minutes a week.

課堂經歷

In this 4-week FLEX class, we will work on improving overall flexibility and specifically flexibility in our splits. This class is perfect for anyone wanting to develop their split skills in a healthy and safe progression. I will be providing video instruction showing the proper stretching technique every week.

This is a flexible schedule class with NO LIVE MEETINGS. I will be using weekly video instructions to walk students through a variety of stretches to help improve flexibility. Each student will be able to watch the video instructions on their own schedule. Students will be provided videos, instructions, and a homework assignment on MONDAY of the scheduled week. All homework will be due by FRIDAY if students would like constructive feedback from the teacher. 

Weekly Engagement
- 1 video each week explaining that week's stretches
- Weekly stretching challenge
- Weekly feedback from the class and teacher through the classroom or private message
- All videos and messages will be done through the Outschool classroom.

CLASS OUTLINE

We will be doing all three splits, left, right, and center, as well as a variety of other stretches to work on flexibility in our major muscle groups. 

Flexibility is something that develops over time with practice, but having dedicated stretching time can really boost stretching ability! 

Each weekly video will start with a 5-10 minute warm-up to make sure that our muscles are warm before stretching. We will discuss the importance of a warm-up and how to stretch safely without causing injury. Following the warm-up, we will spend 20-25 minutes stretching. We will go over stretching all parts of the body, but a large focus will be on our hamstrings for split flexibility. This is also a great time for us to chat and get to know each other during class!

Week 1 - Hamstring focus
Week 2 - Hipflexer focus
Week 3 - More advanced stretching techniques
Week 4 - Review and show off those splits this week!

No experience is needed to take this class, I will walk you step by step through the stretches. All skill levels are encouraged. I will be showing skill-appropriate stretches for all levels to practice the splits safely.

Stretching should be done in an open room with space to move around and stretch on the floor without running into any furniture. We will be discussing safe stretching in class, but students should be encouraged to go slowly and work on their splits little by little to prevent injury.
供應清單
You will want to have a space in your house on the floor where you have room to stretch without running into any furniture. 
Carpeting is fine, or if you have a hard floor I recommend laying down a yoga mat or something softer to stretch on. 
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in to class. Leggings or sweatpants are a great choice!
