This class introduces students to the impact that dopamine levels and dopamine transporter density have on the ADHD brain. Students will identify strategies they are currently using to satisfy their "hungry brains". Students will evaluate which of these strategies are healthy and which may lead to distraction and less healthy choices. Bridget Smith, a credentialed teacher, is a person with ADHD. She is also mom to two kids with ADHD and other learning differences. She has a Master's Degree in Education: Teaching from the University of California Santa Cruz and has worked with learners preschool-adult.
