Welcome artists! This is a short and fun class designed to get young artists started in animation, specifically stop motion animation! I will be demonstrating by using a FREE iPhone & iPad app called Stop Motion Studio, but I will also discuss alternative (and some FREE) programs that can be purchased or downloaded. This intro lesson creates excitement in art/animation and boosts confidence so that students can come to the realization that animation is something they CAN do and CAN be good...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to get started in stop motion animation as well as boost their confidence in their art and creativity!
I have my degree in Animation and have been a professional animator and animation teacher for 6 years now. I LOVE teaching these specific exercises because it is an exciting way to show students that they CAN animate!
I will be demonstrating stop motion animation by using a free app called Stop Motion Studio. I highly recommend it, but it is NOT required for the class. Students are more than welcome to watch and learn and then decide later if they wish to try out the app or any other programs/resources I discuss in class.
