Welcome artists! This is a short and fun class designed to get young artists started in animation, specifically stop motion animation! I will be demonstrating by using a FREE iPhone & iPad app called Stop Motion Studio, but I will also discuss alternative (and some FREE) programs that can be purchased or downloaded. This intro lesson creates excitement in art/animation and boosts confidence so that students can come to the realization that animation is something they CAN do and CAN be good at, even if they don't know anything about animation yet or are just starting out in their creative journey. The first half of the class will be exploring the program and basics of animation and what makes stop motion animation different from the other four types of animation. We will explore how the Stop Motion Studio app works and the MANY WAYS you can create awesome stop motion animations at home!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to get started in stop motion animation as well as boost their confidence in their art and creativity!
