The Animation Olympics

*I strongly recommend that students first take both:
Animation Character Builder
Fundamentals of Animation

(students who have not taken these prerequisites may find themselves overwhelmed by the exercises in this class)


This is a class where students get to flex their animation muscles and reach for new heights with a series of fun animation exercises. The exercises are geared to stimulate creativity and push children to animate things out of their comfort zone.

Each class focuses on a different exercise or activity, We will first begin by examining real life examples and videos and discussing what’s going on in them.

Students will then be given a set of generic keyframes they can use to base their animation off of. Students are highly encouraged to put their own spin on the assignment and exercise their own creativity. 

At the end of class students are encouraged to share their work with the class and receive feedback.

Students who don't finish in class can complete their work during the week and share it at the beginning of next week.
