Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
In this weekly animation club, learners will create fun animations while building fundamental skills in Procreate. Each session introduces one of the 12 core principles of animation, helping learners understand the essentials for creating engaging animations. Through step-by-step demonstrations, learners will learn how to set up Procreate’s workspace specifically for animation and explore essential tools.

With guided instruction, learners will improve their focus and attention to detail, following clear steps to complete each animation project. The class also includes self-directed time, allowing learners to use their imagination to personalize and enhance their animations. This balance of instruction and creative freedom encourages learners to build confidence and deepen their creativity.

This class is designed for beginners, with little or no experience in Procreate and animation, however, intermediate or advanced users are also welcome to join and refine their skills.

📋Class structure:
- Learners check-in
- Introduction to one of the animation principle
- Step by step demonstration and learners create along
- Self directed working time, learners troubleshoot with teacher and socialize
- Sharing of artwork

During the draw along, learners are welcome to hold up their animation to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 learners, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. Learners will be asked to raise their hand before speaking.

🖌️ Material List:
