This ongoing Yoga & Mindfulness class experience offers creative combinations of Vinyasa & Restorative Yoga practices and Mindfulness techniques suitable for all levels. Each class includes: • Instruction in breathing and meditation techniques that support Mindfulness, relaxation, focus and connection. Most of these “lessons” feature dynamic visual and/or audio components. • Yoga poses (standing, seated, reclined & balancing) For these I offer verbal instruction, visual demonstrations and options for pose modifications. • “mini-lesson” on a theme related to Yoga and/or Mindfulness (poses, inspiration from nature, music &/or art, meditation, Yoga philosophy, benefits & styles, etc.) • option to participate without camera (learners must turn camera on when they enter class for verification, but are welcome to practice without it) *Please note, if learner chooses to practice without video I will be unable to provide adjustments to pacing or poses. In other words, I can create a more engaging class when I can see the learners. CLASS FLOW •introductions and/or Q&A • mini-lesson (usually around 5 minutes) • Mindfulness exercises, breathing practices and meditation • poses •closing meditation •opportunity for sharing reflections and/or asking questions TIPS for getting the most out of this (or any live) class: • arrive on time & stay until the end of each class • share questions &/or reflections with me during the beginning &/or end class (verbally or through the Zoom chat), or via the Outschool messaging system • stay actively engaged in the class (please refrain from doing other activities during class) • come with an open mind 👁️🗨️ Curious about different styles of Yoga? •Vinyasa means linking movement with breath. Vinyasa yoga classes vary in style, pace, and intensity (In my classes I invite learners to share how they're feeling using a scale of 1-5, with 1 being tired and 5 being very energetic. I then offer a class experience based on the average number response.) Classes may focus on a specific theme, such as Yoga philosophy, or on strengthening postures, mobility, or flexibility. Because there is no single philosophy, rulebook, or sequence that teachers must follow, each class can have its own unique personality and quirks. •Restorative yoga is a passive, meditative form of yoga known for its relaxing, calming and healing effect. It involves gentle stretching poses that encourage you to focus on your breath while releasing tension in your body. 👁️🗨️ Wondering about what other learners have to say about this class? Check out the older version of this class in my profile (it was recently converted to a "course"/fixed length format) to see reviews.

Other Details
Learning Needs
This class is guided by Inclusive Yoga Practice Core Principles
Parental Guidance
Please provide an open workout space free of any items that could potentially trip or cause the learner to slip. Slip-proof socks or bare feet, a water bottle, and comfortable clothing are suggested for this class (keep in mind we'll be doing some inverted poses which can cause clothing to shift, so tucking in or knotting loose-fitting shirts is recommended). While I will be providing instruction in poses that are suitable for beginner and intermediate students, adult supervision is still recommended.
Supply List
Comfortable clothes, bare feet or slip-proof socks, and space to safely move around on the floor. Bring a Yoga mat if you have one, but if not just find an area where you have enough room on the floor to lie down with your arms and legs fully extended. I don't recommend using towels or blankets to replace a Yoga mat, as they can cause you to trip or slip.
