I am an IEW Registered Instructor and have taught several IEW-related courses over the past 6 years in person. I am excited to bring these classes to the online environment. I find that students are challenged, engaged, and learn to enjoy playing with their writing.
The book "Medieval History-Based Writing Lessons" is required for this course and is $29. Please be sure to get the 5th EDITION of the book, which is the newest edition, just released in January 2019. It is not comparable with former editions. I have seen it for sale in at Rainbow Resource and Amazon, but you can also buy it directly from IEW. Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Throughout the Medieval times there was a Christian movement. We will not be learning religion, but rather how religion played a role in history. All topics will be taught from a secular context.
