Hi! In this vehicle design workshop we will be creating a new vehicle design drawing every week! I'll be teaching you the basics of drawings of cars, robots and spaceships. We will learn the important fundamentals of art and design so we can communicate our ideas clearly to our audience.

Here are the principles we will be covering in the class:

βœ… Shape Analysis & Form Language: Every class will start with a reference image. I'll show students how to break it down into basic shapes. From then we will break it down into smaller shapes with more details. We will be talking about aerodynamics and how to get a cool sense of design and artistry with your vehicles as well.

βœ… Shading and Reflections: We will be covering some inking and shading techniques as well. I'll be teaching you how to get that cool metallic effect you see in concept art.

βœ… Robot Mechanics: We will be drawing lots of cool robots. I'll talk about how to create designs with a sense of believability. I'll explain some of the basic mechanics of engineering and how the robot joints usually work. I'll show you how to draw enough design so that it looks really cool and believable - without needing to create every single detail.

βœ… Perspective Drawing: We will also be covering a bit of perspective in the class... which is a fairly advanced wrong topic. That being said, this class will be good for intermediate to advanced artists.

πŸ”° Class Format πŸ”°
We will be doing lots of really cool robots, spaceships and vehicles in this class with a different topic every week. Students can request topics from their favorite science fiction movies and video games.

This is a great class for students who are interested in STEM and want a supplementary art class to help them convey their designs. This is also a great class for artists who want to learn how to give a more "engineering and mechanical" feel to their drawings. Regardless of what you are building or designing - it all starts with a sketch. Maybe you can become the next Tony Stark!

Hope to see you soon in my vehicle design workshop!
