Class Experience
As parents, we want our children to be readers. After all, a person who reads lives many lives in the time others live only one. It broadens their horizons, gives them new ideas to explore, and opens their imagination to anything and everything that could be possible. Getting your child involved in a series of books is the holy grail of reading - there is always another book to read, always more story to tell! It's the best thing there ever could be. Until. Students will learn how to share ideas in a group format, agree and disagree in social settings, and how to manage interpersonal relationships while discussing a common interest.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will refer to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series - the books by Rick Riordan, the movies, and the eventual Disney+ series are up for discussion!
