If you love space and want to learn more about the moon, this is the class for you! Learners can bring a moon toy or picture of the moon to class so that share with others. Learners will begin class with a fun song about the moon to engage them! We will read a book about the moon called, "Moon: Earth's Best Friend" by Stacy McAnulty. Learners will be encouraged to share their knowledge, ask questions, and make connections about the text. They will learn fun facts about the moon. After the story, learners will draw the moon. They can choose to follow along to a directed drawing or use their creativity to draw freely. Next, we will learn about the letter M. Learners can practice writing the letter m and learn the sound that goes with m. Finally, if time allows, I have a fun moon game where learners can pick a number 1-10 and get a moon picture or a star!
