Class Experience
During class, learners will engage in a variety of writing. In a small group setting, learners will be introduced to the writing process through different types of writing, have some writing time, share their writing with me and their peers, and receive positive feedback and writing tips! Class will begin with an icebreaker and be introduced to the prompt. We will brainstorm ideas and complete a plan for our writing. Then, we will have a mini lesson and draft our writing. If time...
Learners will improve their writing skills through practice. Learners will listen to other's writing and provide positive feedback. Learners will practice the mechanics of grammatically correct writing. Learners will gain confidence in their speaking and writing by sharing their thoughts with others.
Paper Pencil Crayons, Colored Pencils, or Markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
