Awesome Alphabet Adventures

Welcome to Awesome Alphabet Adventures! This online class is designed for learners who are ready to learn their letters and sounds. This exciting course is designed to be a multi sensory approach to learning the alphabet! Each week, we will focus on a different letter. 

Learners will be introduced to the capital and lower case letter. We will then use Play Dough or Building Bricks to form the letter. Next, we will sing a song that focuses on the sound that they letter makes. Throughout class, different objects that begin with that letter will be revealed in a fun and exciting way. We will read a short book about the letter of the week. 

Learners may make connections to familiar objects and will be encouraged to name familiar foods or animals to connect the letter with known vocabulary! By using a multi sensory approach, children will be confident in remembering their letters and begin building the foundation for reading! 

As their teacher, I will guide them through each letter with motions and props!  We will cover phonological awareness through an interactive lesson. Learners will be moving, singing, laughing, and learning! Learners may share objects that they know that begin with that letter.

You will be provided with files that includes a letter coloring sheet, play dough mat, building brick mat, and a reader so that learners can build their own letter book and practice identifying that letter. These activities are optional, but they reinforce the letters we are learning in fun way! 

If time allows, we will conclude class with an interactive game to practice identifying the letter of the week! 

By the end of this class, learners will be able to recognize and name all uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet and associate each letter with its primary sound. They will also begin to understand how letters form words and write letters with proper formation and spacing. This course will help them build foundational skills for reading and writing through engaging, hands-on activities and games.
