Class Experience

This exciting course is designed to be a multi sensory approach to learning the alphabet! Each week, we will focus on a different letter. 

Learners will be introduced to the capital and lower case letter. We will then use Play Dough or Building Bricks to form the letter. Next, we will sing a song that focuses on the sound that they letter makes. Throughout class, different objects that begin with that letter will be revealed in a fun and exciting way. We will read a short book about the...

Learners will be able to recognize the letters of the alphabet, form the letters, and know the sounds that they make. 
Learners will improve their letter recognition and phonological awareness.

No outside homework is required. Extra activities are provided for optional practice.

A coloring sheet, play dough mat, and building brick mat will be provided. A printable alphabet reader will be provided.
Learners may bring coloring supplies, play dough, or building bricks.
Learners may bring an object that begins with the letter we are exploring.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Play Dough may contain ingredients that learners may have an allergy to, such as gluten.
If you have an allergy, you can always make you own. 2 cups of corn starch and 1 cup of hair conditioner makes a fun play dough alternative.
