Learning Goals
This class is specifically designed to help children transition from first grade to second grade. This workshop recognizes the academic and developmental changes that occur as students move from first to second grade, and aims to help children bridge that gap successfully. The workshop is designed to support students in building key skills that will be necessary for success in second grade, including reading comprehension, writing, basic math operations, and social-emotional skills. By focusing on these areas, children will be better prepared to meet the academic and social demands of second grade and will feel more confident and capable as they begin the new school year.
