In the "Summer Language Adventure" class, we'll dive into a variety of exciting topics to keep our Kindergarten learners engaged and learning all summer long! Here's a glimpse of what we'll cover:

Phonics Fun: We'll explore letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and basic phonics rules through interactive games and activities.

Storytelling Magic: Get ready for adventures in storytelling! We'll read engaging picture books, act out stories, and even create our own imaginative tales.

Sight Words Safari: We'll embark on a sight words safari, learning high-frequency words through games, songs, and hands-on activities.

Creative Writing: Let's unleash our creativity with fun writing prompts and activities. From drawing pictures to writing short sentences, we'll express ourselves in exciting ways!

Language Arts Adventures: Our journey continues with exploration of grammar basics, sentence structure, and vocabulary expansion through interactive exercises and discussions.

Our class is structured to provide a balance of instruction, hands-on activities, and interactive engagement. Each session will include a mix of:

Interactive Lessons: I'll lead engaging lessons covering various topics, using a combination of slides, videos, and interactive whiteboard activities to keep things fun and dynamic.

Hands-on Learning: Whether it's crafting sight word flashcards, acting out a story, or completing a writing activity, students will have plenty of hands-on opportunities to apply what they've learned and showcase their skills.

Games and Challenges: Who says learning can't be fun? We'll incorporate educational games, puzzles, and challenges to reinforce key concepts and keep students excited about learning.

My teaching style is interactive, engaging, and student-centered. I believe in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to participate. I'll adapt my teaching approach to meet the diverse needs of learners, providing personalized support and encouragement along the way.

Throughout the class, students will have ample opportunities to interact with me and their peers. Whether it's through participating in discussions or sharing their ideas during lessons, students will be actively involved in the learning process. Together, we'll embark on a summer language adventure filled with fun, creativity, and learning!

Hello! I am Teacher Nikki!

I am a mother of four wonderful children, now aged 28, 26, 24, and 16. I hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, a master’s degree in Reading Instruction, and a specialist degree in Instructional Leadership. With 24 years of professional teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade. Additionally, I volunteer at my family church, assisting students up to 12th grade, and I also serve as an ESL tutor for students learning English. I love working with students and helping them discover the joy of learning.

Outside of teaching, I am an avid reader and love to cook delicious meals and treats for my family and friends. Some of my favorite book series include Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Teaching is not just my profession; it’s my passion, and I find it incredibly rewarding and enjoyable.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with your child and help them succeed!
