Homework
n "Bright Beginnings Reading Camp," homework will be assigned occasionally to reinforce learning and provide opportunities for additional practice. The frequency of homework assignments will be kept minimal to accommodate the needs of young learners and their families. Type of Homework: Homework assignments will consist of short, targeted activities related to the day's lesson objectives. Examples include practicing sight words, reading a short passage aloud to a family member, or completing a simple phonics worksheet. Frequency: Homework will be assigned on an occasional basis, typically once or twice a week. This approach allows students to consolidate their learning without overwhelming them with daily assignments. While all students will be encouraged to complete homework assignments, they will not be mandatory. Families may choose whether to participate based on their child's individual needs and schedule.

Hello! I am Teacher Nikki!

I am a mother of four wonderful children, now aged 28, 26, 24, and 16. I hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, a master’s degree in Reading Instruction, and a specialist degree in Instructional Leadership. With 24 years of professional teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade. Additionally, I volunteer at my family church, assisting students up to 12th grade, and I also serve as an ESL tutor for students learning English. I love working with students and helping them discover the joy of learning.

Outside of teaching, I am an avid reader and love to cook delicious meals and treats for my family and friends. Some of my favorite book series include Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Teaching is not just my profession; it’s my passion, and I find it incredibly rewarding and enjoyable.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with your child and help them succeed!
