Our lives are busy. We should pause and listen. That's how we learn about our feelings and other's feelings. - We will explore the importance of listening and building friendships. - Early readers are introduced to a foundation of daily mindfulness practices. - Use illustrations to recognize the emotions of others -Vocabulary introduced: conflict, distract, empathy, focus, meditate, mindful, and yoga -Students will be invited to make their own goals for kindness and empathy, -If there is time, students will participate in an elementary-aged yoga exercise

Students will improve their understanding of empathy and discover tools to help with mindfulness and empathy.

Parental Guidance
Appropriate for All: The seated yoga at the end of class will require an open space where students can move back from the desk/table. A warm-up will be given in the class. If there are any injuries or issues with any part of the body please inform me ahead of time so I can provide modifications.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
