Parental Guidance
Given the nature of the course, there may be instances where learners engage in scene work or improvisational exercises that involve exploring emotions such as sadness, fear, or anger. While these activities are designed to be safe and supportive, some learners may find them emotionally challenging. It's important for parents to be aware of the potential for these topics to arise and to provide appropriate support and guidance to their child if needed. Additionally, if any media content is used as part of the course curriculum, such as film clips or excerpts from plays, it will be selected with age-appropriateness in mind. Any content that may contain potentially upsetting or scary scenes will be presented in context, with appropriate content warnings provided beforehand. The overall content of the class aims to be inclusive and supportive of all learners, and our instructors are trained to create a positive and nurturing learning environment. If any learner has specific concerns or sensitivities, we encourage parents to communicate with the instructor to ensure that their child's needs are addressed appropriately. As for third-party tools, if any are used for the online classes, families will be informed in advance about how the tool will be used and whether or not an account is required. Any tools used will comply with our class content policy and prioritize the safety and privacy of our students.
