Class Experience

US Grade 8 - 11

Beginner - Advanced Level

In this 4-week class, we will work on taking your acting skills to the next level!
We will meet fellow young actors (or work individually) and get acting lessons from an award-winning actress.

This is what we will cover:
Week 1 -  How to be an actor, Scene Role-play.
Week 2 - Auditions (how to find them and book the role)Storytelling in Acting: Role-Play.
Week 3 - Building a character: motivation and sub-text
Week 4 - The daily actor (business side of acting); more scenes; Q&A

*When taking an acting class, participation is important. Learners must have their cameras turned on.

This class needs at least 2-3 learners enrolled to start. If the minimum is not met, we will be pushing the class to a week or 2 ahead.

I am a friendly and inclusive teacher and I am proud to say I have a high approval and re-enrollment rate on Outschool.

NOTE: Makeup classes are not offered for group classes. Once enrolled, try your best to attend so you don't miss content.
Starting in 2023, this class will need a minimum of 3 learners enrolled for the section to start on the scheduled date. If fewer than 2 learners are enrolled, the teacher will offer to transfer the enrolled learners to the next open section as an option. 
Families will always be notified of any changes so, if the class shows in your schedule it has not been canceled.

Learning Goals

Hi! I’m Ms. Lambert, a Star Educator on Outschool since 2020, a professional actor, director, and educator, and a mother of two (ages 10 and 13). I teach improv, acting, social clubs, and discussion-based classes that help students build confidence, creativity, and communication skills in a fun and supportive environment.

With a background in theater, film, and storytelling, I love creating interactive and engaging learning experiences for all students—whether they’re outgoing, shy, or somewhere in between. I also speak multiple languages and enjoy exploring different cultures, which often inspire my classes. My passion for philosophy, books, and world events fuels dynamic conversations where students can think critically and express themselves freely.

I believe learning should be collaborative, inclusive, and fun—a space where students feel safe to share ideas, take creative risks, and connect with others. Whether through acting exercises, thought-provoking discussions, or casual social clubs, my goal is to create a welcoming and engaging space where every student’s voice is valued.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me reading, writing, playing video games with my kids, or enjoying the beach. I love storytelling in all forms—whether through books, movies, or improv scenes. I can’t wait to meet your learner and help them build confidence, make friends, and have fun in my classes! 😊
