Actors of all levels perform in an acting scene every week in this creative and interactive ongoing performance workshop class!
Class experience
Students who are passionate about becoming better actors will learn the steps to acting in and performing self-directing open scenes (AKA AB scenes) through making strong, bold, and interesting choices. They will be assigned a partner to work with in breakout rooms where they will rehearse short interpretive scenes with their partner while the teacher bounces from room to room for guidance (for approximately 15-20 minutes of the class). Students will learn open scene acting techniques, directing choices techniques, and cooperation as they will partner with new people each week.
Erin Coley previously owned a theatre and has been teaching children's theatre for over 20 years! She have tons of enthusiasm and energy and loves to help students develop confidence and a passion for theatre! Erin feels strongly that open scenes are a fantastic tool for teaching many aspects of acting, directing, and effective observation and communication.

Try to clear 3-6 feet around your camera/computer so you can move around and create your environment!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
