Acting For Film And TV With An Award Winning Actor And Filmmaker

In this class, we will work on specific acting goals like script breakdown, memorization, monologue or scene, or audition preparation. Each class is planned for the student's goals to be accomplished at an optimized usage of the time we have.
We will start with script breakdown, memorization, monologue or scene, or audition preparation. After that, we will continue to work on the more relevant topics for that learner.
The student that has an audition or scene that they want to prepare is welcome to use this hour to focus on that.
The student is also welcome to request the teacher to cover a specific acting subject of their interest or use their time for audition preparation.

If the student does not have specific material and prefers to leave it up to the teacher, this is what we will cover in class:
*acting warm-up exercises
*script breakdown, analysis, and reading
*audition technique
*building a character
*working the scene with a partner or reader
Every 6 weeks, we will focus on:
Week 1 -  Scene breakdown and character development: Let's read real scenes from TV shows!
Week 2 - Acting technique: making choices and working with a director. And, more roleplaying real scenes!
Week 3 - Emotional Memory (The Stanislavsky Method): how to use emotions to deliver your best performance. Again, playing scenes from shows!
Week 4 - Using improvisation and classic techniques to help your performance. More scene reading!
Week 5 - Auditions: how do they happen? How actors get jobs! And, more scenes!
Week 6 - Memorization technique: learning and remembering your lines. Finally, the part we love the most: roleplaying even more scenes!
We will also work on making progress with the student's goals in mind, dedicating time in class to their specific needs.
After 6 weeks, we will start a new cycle from the same sequence point.
