In this ongoing sight words course, students will practice 2 sights words per class. We will use a worksheet that will be uploaded into the Outschool classroom to trace, write, build, find, and use each word. First, we will introduce a word by tracing it. The students will then write it themselves as we practice how to spell it. The next step will be finding the word in a small word search. The last step for each word is to write it in a sentence. As our students are just beginning to read...
Students will learn to identify, read, spell, and use various sight words.
Hello! I hope to have you join me in my classroom! I have a degree in education and have taught first and second grade and high school English in a private school. For the last 8 years, I have homeschooled my own children, which included teaching each of them to read. From the very beginning, we found that a strong phonics foundation was the key to reading success. Hope to see you soon so we can practice our sight words together!
Students are encouraged to review their worksheets between classes.
Worksheets will be provided for each lesson. These worksheets must be printed out for each student for every lesson. They will be necessary for our class.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
