Description

Class Experience

Math can be difficult and frustrating for many students. Often times, skills build upon each other creating learning gaps and making more advance concepts feel impossible. 
Other students may find math to be easy breezy! Maybe they are gaining momentum in their current math courses and you are looking for a challenge.

In this math class we will use a spiral method (meaning topics are revisited on a number of occasions during a course) to learn 2nd grade math using common core...

Students will become confident mathematicians by developing a stronger number sense and practicing different strategies to master 2nd grade math standards.

I have been a classroom general education teacher for 5 years to heterogeneous groups of students with varying abilities. I have also taught RTI small group lessons on math strategies and concepts throughout an entire grade level. Currently, I am also homeschooling and tutoring students through second grade math. I am currently certified to teach in Florida & Virginia.
