US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this class, I use fun games and activities to strengthen math skills for children in kindergarten through third grade. This fun class will improve your student's attitude about math; they will soon be saying how much they enjoy math! Does your learner need to catch up on math skills? Now is the time to strengthen math skills so your learner can gain more confidence in math throughout the rest of the school year. I use hands-on activities that will help reinforce learning of mathematical concepts. Your child will love these fun math games and hands-on activities that will support them as they develop critical thinking skills for math. We will use dice, cards and ten frames to improve math skills. Your child will grow as a mathematician and develop skills to work through a challenging math problem. I will show children easy ways to memorize basic addition and subtraction facts. Flashcards and games can help make this fun. Topics that I teach are appropriate to the grade level and skill level of your learner. - Make a 100 chart to see the patterns with numbers as you learn to multiply. - Practice basic addition and subtraction - Play with dice to practice adding small numbers quickly. - Odd and even numbers and comparing numbers. - Use a place-value chart to aid in understanding of place values. - Learn new math vocabulary words. I tailor each session to the individual’s needs. Older student will learn how to quickly solve multiplication problems and how to solve story problems.
