Beginner - Intermediate Level
Are you looking to improve your math skills and have fun while doing it? Join our exciting and engaging math class! Whether you're a high achieving kindergartener, a second-grader in need of extra support, or anyone in between, this class is perfect for you. We'll cover 15 types of math problems in each class, giving you a chance to practice and build your skills in a supportive environment. Each week you will see two videos! The first weekly video provides an introduction to the material with lots of teacher support. The second video for the week is more in-depth and offers more independent practice. Each week, we'll focus on a different topic to keep things fresh and exciting. *Week 1 is all about number sense, where we'll learn different ways to represent numbers. *Week 2 focuses on addition and subtraction, with a review of basic strategies and math bingo. *Week 3 covers number bond operations and both formal and informal ways to measure objects. *Week 4 is a miscellaneous week where we'll explore analog clocks, graphs, shape attributes, and fractions, with a fun geometry scavenger hunt. Learning Goals
Improve students' math skills, confidence, and understanding of various math concepts. The class is designed to help students overcome learning gaps and difficulties they may have in math, while also providing a challenge for those who are looking for more advanced practice. Through the weekly videos and discussion forums, students will have the opportunity to practice and apply the strategies they learn, as well as share their successes and ask questions with their peers and teacher. Overall, the goal of the course is to help students develop their math skills, build their confidence, and develop a love for math.
