Description
Class Experience
Students will be given an assessment in their first class to be put at an appropriate reading level. Then after the assessment students will be working one on one to improve phonics, sight words, spelling, fluency and reading comprehension. Depending on interest and skills there may be lessons where Nearpod is used for students to follow slides, read text and respond to questions. Classes will be one on one unless you have a sibling/friend that has been tested at the same level an exception...
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Slides will be shared through share screen and depending on reading level some students may use Nearpod. Students will be given a link to join the lesson and then be able to follow along and respond to comprehension questions. There is no need to have an account in this program.
