⭐️ In this reading tutoring session students will become fluent readers. Student will master sight words, phonics, word decoding, fluency and reading comprehension. Student will have fun decoding real words and reading engaging text geared toward their interest. Students will be able to read grade level books fluently. Students will be able to decode unfamiliar words. Student will be able to answer reading comprehension questions. The goal of these tutoring sessions is to build strong foundational reading skills for young readers that will aid in comprehension and confidence as students become more fluent readers.
Homework Offered
Student will receive a sight word list, weekly phonics activity, and a reading decoding passage with comprehension questions. Students should spend 10-15 minutes 3-5 days a week practicing each activity. Student should read 15 minutes daily of independent reading leveled books.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Student will be assessed formally the first day of tutoring and bi-weekly after initial session. Student will be informally assessed through weekly discussions and provided guidance and support when needed during each session.Grades Offered

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
