⭐️ In this small group skill base phonics class students will become proficient in decoding words with long vowels (silent e). Students that can decode quickly and accurately will improve their reading fluency which is the core goal of this class. ⭐️My method for teaching is the I do, We do, You do practice. This allows the students to watch the teacher, practice as a class and try decoding independently. During my lesson I will teach with my white board and sharing my screen using props, PowerPoint, and digital learning resources. Students will be engaged with me throughout the lesson with interactive activities and games. Students should be familiar with their letter sounds A to Z prior to taking this class. This class is a great review for early literacy skills! ⭐️Note: This class is Part 2 of a series of phonics classes. I recommend taking the phonics classes in sequence if a student has not master their letter sounds and short vowels sounds. Daily: Student will practice letters sounds at the beginning of each class as a review of letter A to Z before decoding lessons. Week 1- Long Vowel A (CVCe) Week 2- Long Vowel I (CVCe) Week 3- Long Vowel O (CVCe) Week 4- Long Vowel E (CVCe) Week 5- Long Vowel U (CVCe) Week 6- Cumulative Review of Long vowels/Games

Hello!
My name is Teacher Ms. Gee. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. I have over 10 years of experience teaching in Public, Charter and Private Schools. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade throughout my brick and mortar classroom experience. I have taught online for five years and it has been amazing watching my students make academic progress all over the globe.
I look forward to teaching fun, exciting and engaging lessons to the students on Outschool. My courses will offer supplemental lessons and extra practice for early elementary students to reach their full academic potential.
I really enjoy helping students build strong foundational skills in phonics, reading, and math. I love integrating subjects and getting students immersed in the learning process in an interactive and creative way.
I am a firm advocate for small group and differentiated learning. I also believe in teaching the whole child including academics as well as social emotional learning through literature. As a teacher I have seen students enjoy learning when lessons are fun and tailored to meet their individual needs.
So what do I enjoy doing when Im not teaching??
I love traveling, roller skating, riding my bike and going to the beach. I also enjoy spending time with my family doing fun activities and exploring new adventures.
