Class experience
Because of the internet (Google), the basic skill of using a dictionary has been lost. Students need to know this skill and become familiar with using a dictionary. The teacher will teach how to use the guide words to find words. If a word has multiple meanings, the learner will learn how to select the correct meaning. The learner will also be given the opportunity to choose the correct word in a sentence by using a dictionary. The worksheets will be uploaded before class and discussed...
Learners will demonstrate the ability to use a dictionary.
Learners will need a physical dictionary, pencil and paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
