1-2 hours per week. A writing assignment will be given in the RAFT (Role, Audience, Format and Topic) format each week. The learner will complete the assignment using their creative writing abilities. Each assignment is due the Sunday of the existing week.Assessment
The grading format will use a 50 point rubric as follows: Writing flows (10) Uses correct voice (10) Correct spelling and grammar (5) Relevant pictures (10) Interesting appealing design (10) Layout is appropriate (5). Each writing assignment is due the Sunday of the existing week.Grading

This ongoing class will provide the learner an opportunity to improve their creative writing skills. Each week a Creative Writing Prompt will be provided by the teacher using the RAFT (Role, Audience, Format, Topic) method. The writers will use the prompt to write their assignment. Each assignment will be due the following week. The assignment will be given a score based on the following: Creativity-25, Grammar, Punctuation: 25. General feedback will given to the learner. This class is designed as a fun non-academic writing class.

To expand their writing skills by responding to writing prompts using the RAFT method.
