Class Experience

Looking for a class that sparks your child's creativity and imagination? Look no further than our immersive reader's theatre class! In this class, your child will learn how to turn storybooks into thrilling theatrical experiences through interactive play-making, character embodiment, and other creative activities. With no previous experience necessary, your child will engage and participate in each lesson's warm-up, story time, acting, music, or movement components. Our ongoing class format allows for flexibility in scheduling, so you can join anytime and stay subscribed to explore new stories week to week - and conveniently pause when you have a conflict upcoming. Give your child the gift of creativity and excitement with our reader's theatre class!

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Please make sure the space your child is in has enough space for them to safely dance and move. Please wear clothing that is comfortable to move around in, and stay hydrated with water before, during, or after class.

Jes Sudbrink
Jess Phillips is a theatre educator and artist from Las Vegas, Nevada with her Theatre Education Degree from Southern Utah University. Jess fell in love with the performing arts at the age of 5 and never stopped! She believes access to the arts is vital for students of all ages in order to develop confidence, self-expression, empathy, collaboration, communication, and creative problem solving. Jess has professional theatre experience in performing, directing, designing, and stage management.  Over the past 7 years Jess has been teaching students ages 3-18. Teaching credits include: Shakespeare Theatre Company, Imagination Stage, Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, Belvoir Terrace, The Alden, and Cedar City Arts Council. Directing Credits include: Utah Shakespeare Festival, Southern Utah University, Riverstage Theatre, Belvoir Terrace, The Alden, The Welders, and DC Fringe Festival.
