Class Experience

If you have a specific date or date range in mind due to an upcoming audition, message or submit a schedule request and we will do our best to add a time for you if the open ones do not work.

A positive, encouraging opportunity to get your nerves out and practice your audition piece. Gain feedback and confidence by presenting your prepared audition piece for an experienced director who has sat in on many auditions and has cast many of roles in a variety of plays and musicals.

Please be prepared to treat the time as a mock-audition. This is not a class where you will learn your song or your monologue, rather you will test it out for someone with loads of industry experience rating auditions and making casting feedback. If you need help learning your monologue or song, please consider our Private Acting Lessons or Private Voice Lessons to get you prepared.

This class is perfect for a monologue or vocal audition (or both!).

Due to the nature of this private lesson being over Zoom, there will not be an accompanist available to play for musical selections. Many youth auditions these days have performers provide tracks to sing with. That will be a great option for this class. If you will be singing with a live accompanist for your audition, then you will need to ask an accompanist to record the accompaniment for you in order to present during our lesson. Or, if the audition is meant to be a cappella, then that is fine as well. I would strongly discourage practicing a cappella if the actual audition will be accompanied by a live musician or track.

If you are able to submit information prior to class, such as the show auditioning for, the piece(s) being used for the audition, and time constraints - that information can be valuable for me to know beforehand. If that information is not readily available, then it can be discussed during the designated class time.

I look forward to helping you feel your best and most confident for your upcoming audition!
Learning Goals
My goal is to make the actor feel confident going into their audition. I will focus my feedback on the individual and base all of my coaching on what I am presented with. We will work together to fine tune and strengthen the work that has already been done.
