What's included

32 live meetings
29 hrs 20 mins in-class hours
Homework
2-4 hours per week. This year I am piloting online practice with DeltaMath. Paper assignments will be available for those that would rather have that. After the class starts, you will be given a DeltaMath account that you can choose to practice with. I have found that everyone learns in different ways and sometimes we need a mixture of Desmos, DeltaMath and paper assignments to really learn and enjoy the content.
Assessment
Assessments will be given at minimum once a unit. If you would like a grade, I am happy to give it to along with a report card. If you would rather a Pass/Fail class, please let me know and I will let you know the individualized criteria. I will also look for informal and individualized ways to assess knowledge.
Letter Grade
Assessments will be given by unit. If students would like a grade, they must turn in assessments.

This class is designed to build on Algebra 2 and Geometry foundations in order to prepare for college math or Calculus.

Students can choose to come to class, listen, participate and they will learn. ⭐⭐ The very best way to learn will be to practice the concepts.⭐⭐

Precalulus is a rigorous course that combines many of the concepts that have been learned previously.

Students should have a TI -84 Calculator or equivalent (can be online) we will learn to use technology as well as how to solve problems by hand. I am a big fan of the TI-84 CE calculator but there are phone apps that simulate it.

If you need help outside of the classroom, I'm happy to answer questions via message, video or if I have time after class I can stay a little longer.

Curriculum can be printed out. If you are a textbook lover, I am happy to give you the names of some of my favorites and you can use those to help understand the material. I also have an open source Textbook that the author has given me permission to share in class. I will share that as a resource.

I enjoy teaching this class and really hope that you as a student will enjoy learning different concepts, or at the very least have a better understanding of some of the concepts. Please refer to the syllabus for the progression of topics.
