This is a self-paced class. That means that there are no live classes but there will be teacher interaction. Each week, I will post the week’s lessons and assignments in the form of videos, and Desmos lessons (which is free) depending on the concepts. Homework Offered
The homework will be assigned at the beginning of each week as part of the lesson material. The student is responsible for doing the homework, self-checking it and reaching out with any questions.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessments will be provided. Students are expected to use them as a learning opportunity and for self-assessment. If you would like a grade for this class, then you must turn in assessments.Grades Offered
If you turn in quizzes, you will get a grade.
This is High School Geometry so you do need to know Algebra basics such as solving for x, writing an equation and solving for variables on both sides. If you are not sure, please reach out and I can send you a couple of review questions.
Curriculum will be provided from the instructor. Please either plan on printing out the notes or have programs that can edit PDFs available to your student (such as Kami). This course isn't calculator heavy and students can use online calculators. They should have access to a calculation device.
